At Hooked on Cycling we are proud to have the only Colnago Ottanta C59 race machine as seen below. This bike was designed as a limited edition to celebrate Ernesto Colnago 80th birthday, only 80 were manufactured and Hooked on Cycling bought the only one into the UK. It is a C59 frameset, design in gold art-deco style with Campag super record EPS 11 speed (electronic gear shifting)  with Campag carbon ultra Bora’s.  This bike is a 50cm sloping frameset (equivalent to a 54cm conventional frame), with custom Ottanta finishing kit. As the only bike of its kind in the UK then retail price is £12499.  This bike is a collector’s item which can also be enjoyed on the road!

C59 frames are still fully manufactured in Cambiago in Italy while other carbon frames are shipped there for the all-important finishing and painting steps. Even their more affordable complete bicycles go through rigorous quality control. Special paint processes create stunning looking bicycles. Rather than use decals that fade and peel, Colnago create colour panels with paint, carefully masking areas of the frame in a multi-step process. It takes longer, but the result is a frame that looks as good as it rides, and that will stay looking good for years.
